Snow You Say??

I can't put into words how strange the weather in North Carolina is. Winter, at least what I preceive as such, usually begins some time in October and ends in March, period. Well, for a Maineac it does. It is so odd to me that I wore shorts and a t-shirt to work until almost Christmas. I am wearing shorts as I write this. Can you believe that at the mere mention of Winter-esque weather, they close schools, cancel appointments, ready the plow trucks and sand trucks and in some cases open emergency shelters. Two weeks ago, they canceled school 2 days in a row because the weather guy said it might rain and the temp might drop. Both days it was over 60 degrees! The funny thing is, they have some of the nicest road clearing equipment I have ever seen, and just don't seem to know how to use it to their advantage. I really like living here, I just don't think I will ever get used to the weather! TTFN
